Dec 19, 2017 · Belt Tensioner Issue. My 2013 Chevy Cruze LTZ 1.4L recently started making a weird rattling noise like 2 pieces of metal tapping into each other really fast. Well I found what's creating the noise, but I have no clue what it is or if its even important. I have a link to a video I took showing the part. The belt should be okay for a little while, but you'll want to replace it soon. All-in-all, the belt dressing is just a placebo.
